Tankless water heaters
Installation and efficiency methods and information:
We have several options available for tankless water heaters. The most important breakthrough for tankless heaters is the ability to install them without costly gas line upgrades. The old heaters came with 3/4 inch gas hook ups which meant you needed your plumbing and heating contractor to upgrade your gas line. This was a huge cost issue because most homes were built with a 1/2 inch gas line to the water heater. The installing contractor would need to re-size the gas lines prompting customers to reject these units because of cost issues. Now, with these new systems we can install them with a 1/2 inch gas line, making them more affordable. In addition to the gas line problem being addressed the vent piping was modified as well. The older tankless water heaters need very expensive stainless steel vent pipes. Now we can install them using PVC pipe through your existing vent penetration . The heaters work by heating the water as it goes through, thus eliminating the need to keep a big tank of water hot. This saves you on the gas utility bill. Best of all...you don't run out of hot water!
